Enomy — Marketplace Homepage Redesign

A homepage redesign for Enomy, an African product-discovery marketplace. Instead of submitting a static mockup, I built a live, clickable frontend and it won the client's design contest.

The Challenge

Client Challenge

Enomy connects shoppers with local vendors across Africa, and purchases happen directly with the seller over WhatsApp rather than through a standard checkout. The existing site worked fine but looked dated, and the client wanted the homepage rebuilt around product discovery instead of vendor storefronts something modern, clean, and trustworthy that still stayed true to Enomy's brand colors. Most entrants were asked to submit a Figma file with organized components.

The Approach

My Solution

Instead of a static mockup, I designed and coded a fully live, clickable homepage in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and hosted it so the client could review it in an actual browser from round one. That kept the feedback specific instead of vague.

The hero is search-first, with a subtle interactive map motif roads, connection lines, and location pins wrapped around a friendly local-seller visual. Below it sit live product and category sections: a "recently added by nearby sellers" feed, category browsing, and a simple three-step "how buying works" explainer. The hero image itself came out of several rounds of AI image generation until it matched the mood the client wanted.

From there it went through three rounds of revisions layout density, how visible the map should be, product cards (went from a 2-column layout to 5 across), category icon styling, and the seller banner. Each round got pushed live rather than sent over as a static preview.

Phase 2

Region & Shop Page Redesign

After the homepage won, Enomy came back with a follow-on order: extend the same design system to two more pages a region page for browsing sellers by area, and a shop page for individual vendors. Both carry the same spacing, visual language, and component style from Phase 1, so nothing feels disconnected as shoppers move from discovery to region browsing to a specific seller's shop.
